Our Puggles

Puggle! The name is just cute to begin with. Add to that floppy ears, a boxer-like snout, and a compact little body; you have a near perfect little entertainer and cuddle dog. Yes, they all come with their own personalities and some can look a little more pug-like than others.

We have been breeding puggles for almost three years now. Thanks to the encouragement of my brother, we decided to get started. Bess, a beautiful beagle came to our home in early 2006. Since then a compact and energetic little clown of a pug named Tanner came to our home. He sired the latest litter of puggles we have. All litters have been healthy. Though plenty of work has been involved in raising them, their cute personalities and antics have made caring for them fun for our children and ourselves. The positive feed-back from those who have adopted our puggles, especially the updated photos, has also been lots of fun and very appreciated.

Please enjoy our "Some puggles..." series as well as the photos of Bess and Tanner and their current litter.

Sincerely,

Byron and Amy

I have heard a lot of funny pronounciations for the name puggle. My brother reported people calling them pugles with the /ew/ sound much like one would say bugles. Another variation on this was puglees as in bugle with the /ee/ sound on the end. Somehow those pronounciation are just not as cute as puggle, maybe because they don't rhyme with snuggle.

  2. The blog looks great. If I was ready for a dog, a puggle would be it.

I'm sure if little Stella could hear you, she would say "Thank you, SW". She was such a little ham and loved posing for the camera. So much fun!

We LOVE our two puggles we got from Amy and Byron! They were from two separate liters, though you could never tell. They are the best dogs in the world!! We are so grateful to find such caring people who take such good care of their puppies! A HUGE Thank You to both Amy and Byron!!

  7. I love Serene/Marley. She is too cute. She has the attitude of a cartoon dog. Her attitude reminds me of one of the puppies, Lucky, in Disney's 101 Dalmatians. I haven't gotten to play with many puggles in my lifetime. I didn't realize they were such adorable dogs.
